This non-technical summary aims to present as clearly and concisely as possible the main environmental aspects considered in the Environmental Impact Study of Power Reinforcement at the expense of a better leveraging of the waters of the Cávado and Rabagão rivers through the use of existing hydroelectric structures, namely the Venda Nova and Salamonde dams, and by exploiting their respective reservoirs in a more advantageous way.
