Pursuant to the terms and for the purposes of article 244 of the Portuguese Securities code and of the CMVM Regulation 5/2008, EDP - Energias de Portugal, S.A. (“EDP”) is providing the following information to the market:

On October 30^th, 2019, CNIC Co., Ltd. notified EDP that, in accordance with article 20 of the Portuguese Securities Code, it had crossed the 2% minimum threshold for qualified shareholding positions on October 29^th, 2019, reaching 1.8898% of EDP’s share capital and respective voting rights.
