EDP tops the Dow Jones Sustainability Index for the 2nd consecutive year

Group's sustainable development strategy is recognized for the 7th year

For the second consecutive year, EDP is the world leader in the 'Utilities Industry: Electricity, Water and Sanitation, and Gas' category in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI World) and the Dow Jones Sustainability Europe Index (DJSI Europe).
This reflects international recognition for the excellent performance of the sustainability strategy defined and implemented within the EDP group, in a year marked by methodological changes and new analytical criteria in order to meet the latest market requirements.
The company's position reflects the consolidation of the best practices that EDP has been implementing across its different business activities, in all the countries where it operates, covering different Sustainability aspects: Economic, Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance.
ROBECOSAM's evaluation process analyzed over 1800 companies and less than 20% were included in the index. The assessment considers the company's impact/risk based on 25 criteria, in the following areas: environmental, social, economic and corporate governance.
The EDP Group is once again recognized by international markets and investors for its sustainable practices, which is a recommended, socially responsible investment option for global financial agencies.
