Las Vegas, Rio de Janeiro and Lisbon with more energy in the city of Rock

Rock in Rio has just announced its first global partner - EDP. The announcement was made during the Rock in Rio-USA presentation event in Times Square, New York.
For the first time in the history of Rock in Rio, the world's largest music and entertainment event will have a global partner - a partnership that promises to bring even more energy to Las Vegas (in May 2015), Rio de Janeiro (September 2015) and Lisbon (May 2016).
According to Paulo Campos Costa, EDP Group's brand and communications manager, 'This unprecedented partnership will strengthen the Group's strategy in national and international music. In 2015, EDP will be the only Portuguese brand to be present in all international editions of the event, thus bringing good energy to Rock in Rio - Las Vegas and Rock in Rio - Rio de Janeiro. And in 2016 EDP will once again position itself as music's official energy in Lisbon's Bela Vista Park, bringing many emotions and a lot of fun to thousands of people.'
'Rock in Rio is a global brand, present in four countries, and with plans to go even further. That's why we seek global partners (such as EDP) that share our ambition and DNA, partners that want to be closer to their target and create connections through music', says Roberta Medina (Rock in Rio Executive Vice-President).
EDP will be present in the most recent Rock City, in Las Vegas, in May next year; and four months later the company will fly to Rio de Janeiro to experience the contagious 'carioca' spirit for the second consecutive year.
The Group has been sponsoring this major music and entertainment event since 2013, when it joined the Brazilian edition in Rio de Janeiro for the first time.
About Rock in Rio
Rock in Rio is the largest music and entertainment event in the world. Over nearly 30 years it has become an important part of the history of music, with 14 editions, about 7.5 million people gathered for 90 days of music, and 1274 artists.
Born in Rio de Janeiro, it conquered not only Brazil but also Portugal and Spain. And in 2015 the festival will start a new adventure in the US, with the mission, as always, of bringing all kinds of music to the most varied audiences.
Much more than a music festival, it has become a complete and comprehensive event by addressing issues such as social and environmental responsibility and sustainability; and it has committed (with the FOR A BETTER WORLD project) to make people aware that small everyday actions can make the world a better place.
