EDP’s brand value rises 38.5% and makes top 15 of world utilities

Brand Finance, world leader in branded business valuation, states that the financial value of EDP brand has raised 38.5% in one year, now being worth more than 2.7 billion dollars (2.4 billion euros).

With a rating AA+, EDP is, once again, the most valuable Portuguese utility brand and occupies the world’s 14th place  in the utilities sector.

David Haigh, CEO of Brand Finance, highlights the “impressive rising” of the brand, that “is to be commended for its foresight, in particular with regards to technological innovation. EDP’s tactical partnerships in cybersecurity, with the aim of strengthening connectivity and resilience that are vital to infrastructure, will stand the brand in good stead for years to come.
