Many consumers wait for the last Friday of November to buy several products at more affordable prices. This year, Black Friday happens on November 29th, but EDP Comercial, which is always aware of its customers' consumption trends and needs, innovates again by creating Green Friday, an initiative that will happen the week before, during November 22-25. On these days, EDP Comercial customers can purchase efficient appliances at the online store, edp.pt, with discounts of up to 20%.
In this shop, customers can choose various types of equipment such as refrigerators, washing machines and dishwashers, among other appliances, with the guarantee that they are the most efficient in the market, and pay directly on the energy bill in 24 monthly installments, interest free. Additionally, EDP Comercial ensures that the installation of the new equipment and the collection of the old equipment are free of charge.
EDP entered this segment earlier this year, and has already installed about three thousand appliances in its customers' homes.
During Green Friday, in addition to the equipment discount and energy efficiency they will get, consumers will be contributing to an environmental cause, as part of the proceeds goes to the "Liga para a Proteção da Natureza", a non-profit association that has a Charity Statute, which promotes nature conservation and environmental education since 1948.
This is another step that reinforces EDP Comercial's strategy of being the partner of choice for its customers in terms of sustainability, energy efficiency, and comfort at home. Services such as health insurance, energy certification, electric mobility, energy storage systems, photovoltaic solar panels and repair and maintenance services for equipment and appliances are already offered. It is estimated that, in 2021, around 40% of EDP Comercial's customers may have additional services contracted through the electricity bill.
This bet had already been reinforced by the company last month with the launch of Living EDP Packs, where customers can find various discounts and opportunities on products and services that allow them to use their energy, both indoors and outdoors. About four million consumers trust EDP Comercial to be their energy supplier in the Portuguese market.
