Lisbon, February 28th, 2020: Today, Fitch Ratings (“Fitch”) revised EDP, EDP Finance B.V. and EDP España’s Outlook from Stable to Positive. EDP and EDP Finance B.V.’s Long-term Issuer Default Ratings (“IDR”) and senior unsecured ratings have been affirmed at “BBB-” and Short-term IDR at “F3”. Fitch has also affirmed hybrid securities’ rating at “BB” and España S.A.’s Long-term IDR at “BBB-”and Short-term IDR at “F3”.

The Positive Outlook reflects Fitch’s expectations of a sustainable improvement in leverage and coverage metrics from 2020 and the sound delivery on the company’s business plan targets for 2019.
