EDP wins in three categories at the 2020 APCE Awards
APCE awards celebrates the best business communication projects in Portugal. EDP was distinguished for two events and an internal publication.
Two events and an internal publication earned EDP distinction in three categories of the 2020 APCE Grand Prize, which rewards the best business communication projects in Portugal.
The EDP Knock Out Pitch -- a space created at the latest Web Summit for startups to present EDP their business ideas -- earned one of those distinctions, awarded for the category of "Best External Event" for more than 1000 people. Designed as a kind of boxing ring placed on an elevating platform, this space allowed entrepreneurs a minute to fight for their project before an EDP manager. During the three days of the Web Summit, EDP Knock Out Pitch received more than 400 candidates, which was also a record compared to previous Web Summit events.
In the category of “Best Internal Event for up to 500 employees,” EDP Group's 2019 global communication meeting was the winning project. Under the motto “Revolution”, it brought together employees from the group's communications area in November 2019 to discuss strategies and share team building actions, among other initiatives.
The edpON magazine won in the category of “Best Internal Publication.” Dedicated to revealing and describing the best stories, projects and protagonists forming part of EDP's life, this bimonthly publication, with both a hardcopy and a digital version, is one of the group's internal communication projects.
The Portuguese Business Communication Association distinguishes the best projects in this area in Portugal on an annual basis. For EDP, these awards recognize the work and efforts of a team that always seeks to excel in each project it undertakes. This year's awards were announced and awarded last Thursday in a ceremony broadcast through Facebook.
