EDP Brasil joins Movement for a Digital Brazil

Friday 03, August 2018

This initiative fosters dialogue between Brazilian companies and the Government in order to strengthen the digitization process in Brazil and prepare society for the future.

Movimento Brasil Digital (Digital Brazil Movement) seeks to foster and influence the dialogue between the public and private sectors in order to put technology and innovation at the center of the country's strategy so as to improve its competitive position and create better professional opportunities. It aims to support the structuring of a new future for Brazil so that it becomes an innovative country, deeply involved in the fourth industrial revolution, leveraging digital development in four structural dimensions: education, entrepreneurship, infrastructure, and government. It also promotes cross-cutting social inclusion.

Resulting from a partnership between the Brazilian Corporate Pact for the Humanized Digitization of Labour (promoted by EDP, EY, Korn Ferry and FIAP) and the Digital Nation Manifesto (led by IT Mídia and Dom Cabral Foundation - FDC), the Movement wants to present concrete technological growth proposals to Brazil's presidential candidates. To bolster these proposals, the Movement will have the support of companies from various sectors of the Brazilian economy.
