EDP joins the Equal by 2030 campaign for the promotion of gender equality
The Equal by 2030 initiative is a platform of organizations fighting for gender equality, within the framework of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
EDP now joins this movement through a campaign of the Clean Energy Ministerial and the International Energy Agency, to strengthen the role of women in the ongoing energy transition.
The promotion of labor diversity is part of EDP's Sustainability strategy.
An increase of women in the share of the Company's total employees, rising from the current 24% to 27%, is among the goals set for 2020.
The world average in this sector is around 20%.
