The CEO of EDP Brazil was elected for the third time by Forbes magazine.

Forbes magazine chose Miguel Setas, president of EDP Brazil, as one of Brazil's best CEOs in 2018. The executive was recognized for the third time by the publication, one of the most important in both the Brazilian and the international press.

Miguel Setas was the only CEO in the electrical sector, selected among the top 15 most respected leaders from leading consulting firms and some of the world's top business and management schools.

The magazine highlights that the president of the electric company is one of the people responsible for tripling the market value of the company and is ahead of innovative projects such as the robotization of processes, as well as leading the company's new growth cycle, focused on Transmission and Solutions in Energy.

"This outcome is the result of the work of the entire EDP team and our business partners, whom I thank for the enthusiasm with which they make our operation happen in an innovative, sustainable and competitive way every day," Miguel Setas says.

The EDP Group is present throughout 16 countries and has 12,000 employees divided between Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Poland, Romania, Brazil, USA, Angola, Belgium, UK, Canada, Mexico and China. With more than 11 million customers, we are at the forefront of innovation and renewable energies. Today we make the energy of tomorrow.

In Brazil, EDP has been present for over 20 years as one of the largest private companies in the electricity sector. EDP Brasil operates in Transmission, Commercialization and Energy Solutions, and has 15 hydroelectric generation units and one thermoelectric plant. In Distribution, it has about 3.4 million customers in São Paulo and Espírito Santo. It recently acquired a stake in CELESC, in Santa Catarina.

Having spent ten years in the country, Miguel Setas has been leading EDP Brasil since 2014 and is a member of EDP Group's executive board since 2015
