Nuno Alves, a member of the EDP Executive Board, was crowned the best Investor Relations CFO in 2016 by Deloitte during an award ceremony held last night in Lisbon. 

EDP Renováveis' Report and Accounts was also distinguished in the 30th edition of the Investor Relations & Governance Awards as the best publication in the non-financial segment. 

Nuno Alves holds a degree in Naval Engineering and Construction and an MBA from the University of Michigan. He began his career at BCP in 1988, and became Managing Director of this financial institution in 2000. In 2006 he was appointed member of the EDP Executive Board, where he remains until today. 

The Portuguese energy company had already been distinguished last June by ranking in the top 10 best Investor Relations in Europe. EDP was also distinguished by the IR Magazine Awards 2017, leading the ranking of Portuguese companies under analysis.
