Project overview
Lone Valley Solar Park consists of two phases and is located in the western Mojave Desert, approximately five miles southeast of Lucerne Valley. With a semi- arid climate, vast expanses of land, and sunny days three-quarters of the year, Lucerne Valley is an ideal location for solar projects. The solar park complements the area’s desert landscape while harnessing the region’s abundant sun.

About solar energy

Energy security
Energy security
Lone Valley helps strengthen energy security for the state of California and the United States, helping diversify domestic supply.

Solar as a neighbor
Solar as a neighbor
Solar projects are essentially silent neighbors designed to capture light while not producing glare, and the vegetation maintained beneath the panels helps mitigate any possibility of heat increases.

Solar panel technology
Solar panel technology
EDPR NA’s solar panels are made up of a thin layer of solar PV cells sealed on both sides. Panels contain no liquids or materials that would pose a risk to the environment or human health.

Powering American homes
Lone Valley Solar Park’s generation is equivalent to the average consumption of more than 10,200 California homes.

38 million gallons of water saved each year
Lone Valley Solar Park saves 38 million gallons of water each year and prevents the air pollution that causes smog and acid rain.
