Entrepreneurship
What is ENTAMA?
It is is an initiative launched in 2019 to support and fund business projects from local entrepreneurs in municipalities where EDP develops its activity.
Its purpose is clear: to generate wealth, create jobs, and encourage population settlement in areas at risk of depopulation, while promoting sustainable economic growth with social impact.
How does it work?
Projects are selected by a multidisciplinary EDP committee, which evaluates:
- Economic viability
- Job creation (direct and indirect)
- Innovation and sustainability
- Social and territorial impact
Each project can receive up to €20,000 in funding.

- We support those who create impact at the local level
- We contribute to a fair and forward-looking energy transition
Where is it implemented?
The program is active in selected areas of Spain, especially in:
- Municipalities linked to thermal power plants in transition
- Municipalities with hydropower plants
- Municipalities with wind or solar renewable projects
- Rural municipalities with EDP Group electricity distribution activity
In its latest call, it included municipalities from the Just Transition Agreement: Caudal-Aboño (Asturias), Los Barrios–Campo de Gibraltar (Cádiz), southwest Asturias, and municipalities with hydropower plants. Previous editions have also been carried out, and new calls are being prepared in areas such as Valle del Guadiato (Córdoba), as well as in selected municipalities of Cantabria, Lugo, and Asturias.
Different editions and local calls are launched periodically through the program’s official website.
