Startup Mapping
About the Project
In 2022, EDP, in partnership with the Government of the State of Espírito Santo and institutions, announced the Capixaba Innovation Mobilization based on three pillars aimed at mapping, consolidating, and analyzing the hiring of local startups, investment opportunities, and talent development.
Since the beginning of MCI, EDP has invested in the development of Proofs of Concept (POCs) and innovative solutions, in partnerships with TecVitória and Senai, which coordinates the Renewable Energy Laboratory and fosters discussion about the development of the innovation ecosystem in Espírito Santo. These actions aim to prepare qualified labor to meet the new market demands and strengthen leadership in the energy transition in the state and the country.
MCI is comprised of representatives from the Productive Sector (Arcelormittal, Suzano, Petrobras, Vale, and EDP); State Government (Bandes, Secti, Seag, Secult, Seger, and Fapes) Institutions (Findes, Sebrae, ES em Ação, TecVitória, Sincades, Vale da Moqueca and ACT!ON) and Academia (UFES, IFES, UVV, Multivix, Faesa and Sinepe-ES)
Innovation as a driver of transformation
EDP believes that innovation is essential to drive the energy transition and generate sustainable value for society. Therefore, we continue to invest in initiatives that promote entrepreneurship, technology, and collaboration with startups across the country.
