What we do

More than a decade of sustainable growth

EDP entered Italy in 2010 by acquiring a development company with a robust portfolio of projects. In 2012, we commissioned our first wind farm, marking the beginning of a journey characterized by numerous achievements and promising projects. Guided by consistency, we have significantly contributed to the national energy landscape through safe and sustainable production.

With additional projects currently under construction, we are on track to achieve a capacity of 1 GW of clean energy by 2025. This milestone reflects EDP's unwavering commitment to sustainability and our dedication to advancing solutions in the renewable energy sector. Our expansion highlights our pivotal role in Italy's energy transition and our focus on sustainable development.

Ethics and Compliance

We're commited to transparency and ethics

We follow a policy of transparency, giving voice to those who believe that certain behaviors do not comply with ethical principles, legal provisions or internal regulations.

For reporting such behavior, we provide a channel called “Speak Up,” which, by ensuring legal requirements in terms of whistleblowing, allows easy access to all those who wish to resort to it.

Speak up Channel

Our channel allows global reporting of ethics, legal, and policy violations, including EU Directive 2019/1937, for all EDP entities.

Whistleblowing Management Policy

For further clarification, consult the whistleblowing Management Policy that establishes the rules applicable to the procedure for receiving, handling, resolving and recording reports of complaints received through the Speak Up channels.

Whistleblowing Management Policy ensures all whistle-blowers and stakeholders of full compliance with the Law regarding strict, ethical business conduct, while also making sure that all well-founded reports of a breach that are submitted in good faith will be presented securely and effectively, without fear of retaliation.
