Redevelopment Plan for Lajeado and Miracema do Tocantins

This program’s objective was to design, from surveys in the municipalities of Lajeado and Miracema, plans for territorial planning for both towns. For this, it was taken into consideration the dam location, the access routes, the workers’ housing during construction, the city layout, the need to expand leisure areas, the adequacy of road accesses, the security services, and the city illumination, etc. The work carried out was based on the environmental diagnosis of the territory and the urban planning carried out by Unitins, currently titled UFT.

The Redevelopment Plans were developed following participatory procedures in conjunction with City Halls, competent State Secretariats, local organizations and NGOs. There was also a multidisciplinary team called the Unitins, made up of urbanist architects, civil engineer, agronomist, sociologist and anthropologist, all of them with knowledge of the state of Tocantins. Through an agreement, Investco transferred to Unitins the funds for the implementation of these activities, and the actions were completed.
