2. Personal data processing purposes and legal basis

5. Retention period

The personal data collected through EDP S.A., Labelec, EDP Inovação's contact forms will be stored by each controller for a period of 5 years, although such data may be stored for a longer period for the fulfillment of legal obligations or archiving purposes; in the latter case, appropriate technical and organizational measures will be implemented. 

The personal data collected by EDP, S.A. for sending the newsletter will be stored for as long as the newsletter continues to be sent or until the user unsubscribes from it.

Data collected regarding the website’s navigation will be stored during the cookie’s storage period and in accordance with the information available on the Cookies Policy and on the cookie management tool OneTrust.

6. User rights

Pursuant to personal data laws, the user has the right to request EDP, S.A., Labelec and EDP Inovação, as applicable, to access, rectify and delete any personal data concerning him/her. Moreover, the user may also exercise his/her data portability rights or the right to limit the processing of his/her personal data. The user has also the right to oppose, at any moment and for reasons relating to his/her particular situation, to the processing of personal data on the basis of the legitimate interests pursued by the controller.

In order to exercise the aforementioned rights, the user may contact the data controller by sending a written request to the addresses listed in paragraph 1 of this Privacy Policy. Regarding the newsletter, the user may oppose to the processing of their personal data for this purpose through the unsubscribe link available at the end of the received communication.

The user also has the right to submit a complaint to the National Data Protection Commission if he/she believes that his/her personal data rights on this Policy have been violated.
