The documentary Cowspiracy and a conference on Zero Waste generated the first concerns with sustainability. She created the blog Do Zero and today seeks to live with the minimal ecological footprint possible.

Researcher in the field of energy, buildings and climate change

He graduated in Environmental Engineering from FCT-NOVA, where he also obtained a PhD in Climate Change and Sustainable Development Policies. He is a researcher and project manager at CENSE and at Project Drawdown. He has been working since 2008 in the field of energy, buildings and climate change, with a focus on energy efficiency and poverty. In 2017, he took on a position at the Management Committee for a European COST Action and he is one of the coordinators of the European Consultancy HUB. He is also a founding member of DERA - Drawdown Europe Research Association, and APEEN - Associação Portuguesa de Economia de Energia.

He graduated in Mechanical Engineering and obtained a Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering from Porto University and Minho University. He worked for about eight years in projects and energy audits at Auditene, and in 2012 he joined EDP as project head in the field of energy efficiency. Five years ago he took on the position of EDP Comercial deputy director for B2B energy services, focusing mostly on energy efficiency, specialized technical services, and solar photovoltaic systems for self-consumption.
