Red Kite Project: watch the beautiful images!

The red kite, a bird of prey native to Western Europe, is classified by Spain’s National Catalogue of Endangered Species as “in danger of extinction”.

In late 2014, EDP Renewables and the “Fundación Patrimonio Natural” launched a conservation program for the bird species in Castile and León.

In order to gather knowledge about the birds’ behavior, adult birds have been tagged and cameras have been placed on some of the nests. Watch some of these beautiful images!
