AllianceBernstein L.P. notifies significant shareholding in EDP

On February 14, 2011, AllianceBernstein L.P., a subsidiary of AXA Group, notified EDP, that in accordance with article 20 of the Portuguese Securities Code, it came to hold 76,553,268 ordinary shares of EDP, which corresponds to 2.09% of EDP's share capital and 2.09% of the respective voting rights.
On February 14, 2011, AllianceBernstein L.P., a subsidiary of AXA Group, notified EDP, that in accordance with article 20 of the Portuguese Securities Code, it came to hold 76,553,268 ordinary shares of EDP, which corresponds to 2.09% of EDP's share capital and 2.09% of the respective voting rights.
The significant shareholding resulted from the acquisition of 6,188,421 shares in the market on February 2, 2011.
