BlackRock, Inc. notifies qualified shareholding in EDP

Lisbon, January 9th, 2020: Pursuant to the terms and for the purposes of article 244 of the Portuguese Securities code and of the CMVM Regulation 5/2008, EDP - Energias de Portugal, S.A. (“EDP”) is providing the following information to the market:

On January 8th, 2020, BlackRock, Inc. notified EDP that, in accordance with article 20 of the Portuguese Securities Code, it had reached a qualifying shareholding correspondent to 5.07% of EDP’s share capital and of the respective voting rights, of which 5.01% attached to shares and 0.06% through financial instruments. The 5% threshold attached to shares was crossed by BlackRock, Inc. on January 7th, 2020.
