Key data

Start: October 2018

Completion: September 2022

Budget: € 21.019.925

Objectives

Beginning in October 2018 and lasting for four years, the INTERRFACE project will design, develop and explore an Interoperable Pan-European Network Services Design to act as an interface between the energy system (operators of the transmission network and operators of the distribution network) and customers, allowing the integrated, coordinated operation of all interested parties in the use and acquisition of network support services.

Within the scope of the project, some state-of-the-art digital tools based on blockchain and big data technologies will be developed and tested, providing new opportunities for consumer involvement and participation in electricity and network support markets, allowing the exploitation of distributed energy resources.
In Portugal, the project is being developed by E-REDES.
