New packaging for oil transportation
11/06/2019
The Insulating Materials Laboratory has developed new packaging to facilitate and expedite the transport of oils from any geography and expand this area of business.
With clients in various countries (Spain, France, Italy, Belgium, Switzerland, Denmark, Poland, Romania, Israel), this LABELEC Laboratory diagnoses the transformer through oil analysis.
The client, following the instructions incorporated in the packaging, collects 3 different oil samples and sends the glass bottles, properly packaged in the new cardboard box, by mail.
Parameters analyzed: water content, breakdown voltage, density, color, appearance, interfacial tension, acid number, dielectric dissipation factor (tangent delta), dissolved gases, and furanic compounds. With these analyses, it is possible to assess the aging of the oil and paper, the insulating capacity of the oil, thermal defects, and partial discharges in the transformer.
The identification in QRcode already incorporated in the box speeds up the entire process of analysis and registration of data related to the transformer's characteristics.
