A 15-year contract was concluded for a park that will be built in the state of Indiana. Project is expected to be operational in 2023.

EDP Renováveis (EDPR) has secured, through its subsidiary EDP Renewables North America LLC, a contract for the sale of wind power produced by a park with 204MW of total installed capacity.

The Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) will last 15 years. The project will be built in the U.S. state of Indiana and is expected to be operational in 2023.

With this new agreement, EDPR has now secured 2.3GW of additional capacity for the United States, which will begin to be operational later this year.

The company currently has 5.8 GW of installed capacity in that country, in wind power and solar, having 6.3GW in North America, including EDPR's operation in Canada and Mexico.

EDPR recently strengthened its commitment to that market by acquiring 85% of the company Omega C2, specialized in distributed solar parks, with projects in 16 US states.
