EDP Trainee Program opens global applications for paid internships
EDP is now launching the 8th edition of the EDP Trainee Program, a global program lasting nine months, aimed at candidates from the four global regions where the company is present: Europe, North America, South America and Asia-Pacific. Applications are open until April 11.
Key characteristics such as courage, curiosity, collaboration and forward-looking vision are essential for candidates of the new edition of the EDP Trainee Program, which will begin this Monday, March 17.
Under the motto “Hidden Gen”, this edition’s global campaign refers to the new generation of change agents that is about to be discovered. It presents a creative concept in which, like unpolished gemstones, and in an increasingly challenging job market context, great talents are rare, valuable, and full of potential. This new edition values diversity and seeks master's students or recent graduates from all training areas and nationalities, who are fluent in English and have up to two years of professional experience, to experience a nine-month professional journey at EDP.
The application phase that is now starting, as well as the entire recruitment process, is entirely online. After the selection process is completed, the trainees will be welcomed and integrated into the group in September of this year. Throughout the program, trainees will have the opportunity to undertake two rotations of four months between different areas or companies within the group. At the end of the internship – which will be paid – trainees may have the opportunity to join any company within the EDP group in different markets.
This program aims to value trainees' professional experience, encouraging them to actively participate in creating innovative solutions for the energy sector and to strengthen their personal and professional skills, promoting a positive and innovative work environment that stimulates collaboration and agile decision-making. Additionally, the program offers the opportunity to join a flexible, healthy and inclusive workplace.
EDP positions itself as a world leader in the energy sector and operates on four main platforms (Renewable Production Assets, Networks, Customer Solutions and Global Energy Management), with around 13,000 employees worldwide. It also stands out in the market for the unique work experience it provides to its people, recognized by international external entities such as the Top Employers Institute and Forbes.
