Why does EDP have a Trainee Program?

At EDP, we are committed to attracting, developing, and retaining diverse talent with high potential. Our Trainee Program is designed to provide an enriching experience for students and recent graduates worldwide, offering them the opportunity to develop both personally and professionally while contributing to a company leading the energy transition.

Each edition of the program is a unique opportunity to grow, connect, and make a real impact in one of the most competitive trainee programs on the market.

Does the EDP Trainee Program look for any specific profile?

Beyond academic knowledge and technical skills, we seek bold and diverse minds who are eager to make a difference. If you are ambitious, curious, and collaborative, and if you share our commitment to driving a better tomorrow, we want to meet you!

Will you ask me about my grades?

Yes, we will ask for your Grade Point Average (GPA), as it is an important reference. However, your application will not be assessed solely based on grades. We recognize that you are more than just numbers—your experiences, potential, and motivation are just as important. Since grading systems vary by country, we provide an equivalency table to help you determine the corresponding grade in the Portuguese system.

Check the grading equivalency table, HERE.

Will you ask me about my level of English? If so, how can I verify which is my level?

Yes. As EDP operates in multiple countries, English is essential for effective communication. To help you assess your proficiency level, we provide a reference table based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). This applies not only to English but also to any other languages you speak, as we value multilingualism.

Check the CEFR language levels, HERE.

As EDP is a Portuguese company, do I need to know Portuguese before applying?

No. Portuguese proficiency is not required to apply for the EDP Trainee Program.

Is the EDP recruitment process inclusive?

Yes! At EDP, we are committed to fostering an inclusive, flexible, and accessible recruitment process that accommodates the diverse needs of our candidates. If you require any specific support or adjustments, simply indicate this in your application form. Our team will ensure you receive the necessary assistance throughout the process.

Can I already know what will be the main moments of the Recruitment Process?

Our recruitment process consists of four digital stages: online application, online tests with a video interview (asynchronous), online assessment, and a final interview.

Do I receive a salary during the EDP Trainee Program?

Yes! As a Trainee, you will receive a competitive monthly salary along with health insurance and other benefits.

Additionally, if your program includes international job rotations, EDP will cover travel expenses according to our international mobility policy.

Can I expect to stay at EDP once the program ends?

That is our goal! We invest to retain, and our Trainee Program is designed so that most trainees continue their professional journey with us, upon successful completion.

I would like to apply for this program, but I have a special requirement.

Yes. As a socially responsible company, diversity, equity, and inclusion are at the core of our values. If you have a special requirement, simply indicate it in your application form. Our team will contact you to ensure the necessary accommodations are in place to support your application and experience.
