The public presentation of POCYTIF (Positive Energy CITY Transformation Framework) project was held last September 19th in the city of Évora. The project, co-funded by the European Union under the H2020 programme, was introduced to the local community by the Mayor of Évora, one of the two European cities where the project solutions will be demonstrated and monitored.

In the role of Project Coordinator, EDP NEW R&D / Labelec presented the project specificities, namely the different technological innovations to be implemented during POCITYF, considering the objective of ensuring smarter and more sustainable cities, by deploying a set of Positive Energy Blocks. In the particular case of Évora, disruptive concepts such as the creation of a local energy market and the use of second-life batteries will be applied.

The event has ended with a question and answer session, allowing the community to familiarize themselves with the solutions to be implemented and the pivotal role citizens will play.
