The Horizon Building obtained Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification. Developed by the U.S. Green Building Council, this system evaluates a set of practices linked to sustainable construction. This was the first building to obtain this certification in Houston, Texas.

The S. João de Braga Race, sponsored by EDP Gás, was distinguished at the II Sport Gala with the 2015 Best Sports Event ™ award. The others nominated for the award were the European University Handball ™, Rampa da Falperra ™ , Volta a Portugal by Bicycle ™ and S. Silvestre ™ Race. The second edition of the S. João de Braga Race, held in June, brought together approximately 4,100 participants and, together with Bosch Portugal, EDP Gás donated 25 thousand euros to APPACDM (Portuguese Association of Parents and Friends of the Mentally Handicapped Citizen).

EDP was the leader in a group of 10 suppliers with national presence, with a score of 84.5% in the consumer choice satisfaction survey. This result reflects the opinion of consumers about company's products and services, dedicated to the sale of energy, and was based on attributes such as: the non-existence of the loyalty period, the clarity of information, the quality of technical assistance, the effectiveness in supply, honesty, the simple contract, free calls, explicit rates, speed of service and brand credibility.

edpON Magazine and the EDP ONE Encontros 2014 project won first place in the FEIEA Awards 2015, in the categories Best multi-language publication and Best internal communication event, respectively. These Awards recognize again the work that has been developed by EDP Group, in the area of communication. As one of the largest corporate events held in Portugal, the 2014 EDP Meeting marked the difference in the logistics involved: eight months of preparation, 72 consecutive hours of assembly, 450 professionals, giant screen with 300 m long and 10 m high, 90% lighting with low consumption leds and 95 buses to transport all about 7,000 employees, from various points in Portugal. The model was replicated in Spain, the United States and Brazil, in order to reach the 12,000 EDP employees.

EDP Global Brand, Marketing and Communication director Paulo Campos Costa has been presented with the Marketing Personality of the Year Award by Meios e Publicidade. Paulo Campos Costa has been heading the EDP Group's communication department for the past 9 years, and his innovative approach has been spreading the Group's brand and communication in Portugal and abroad. Milestones in his career include edpOn TV - the Group's corporate television, which reaches 12,000 thousand employees every day; an unprecedented concert at Alto Lindoso Dam in 2009, in a room 340 meters deep; the Group's rebranding in 2011; and a show on a floating stage on the Douro River, also in 2011, to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the EDP brand.
