EDP wins the Green Fleet Prize for the 3rd time. Most of the large Portuguese fleets participated in the 5th Fleet Magazine conference, where EDP won the third green car award in 2016 in Portugal for the third time. Created in 2013, the Green Fleet award distinguishes the company that shows the greatest commitment to CO2 reduction in the purchase of vehicles for its fleet. For this purpose, it measures the proportion of electric and hybrid vehicles of the existing fleets in the various national companies. The achievement of this award recognizes EDP's way of incorporating non-polluting vehicles into its car fleet, which already represents 5% of the park. The kilometers already traveled by these vehicles avoided the emission of 155 tons of CO2.

MAAT wins International Design Award. The architectural design of MAAT, developed by Amanda Levete (AL_A), won the Design Prize 2017, attracted by designboom and Abitare. Dedicated to visual art, new media, architecture and technology, the 7,000-square-meter MAAT is the new home of contemporary Portuguese culture. With a flexible interior design, capable of integrating future exhibitions, and a dynamic tile facade that reflects the surrounding landscape, the museum acts as a bridge between the rich traditional history and the rapid growth of the country. MAAT is even defined by designboom and Abitare as a "powerful, sensitive and low-key building that explores the convergence of these three distinct fields" (art, architecture and technology). Design Prize is an annual award celebrating excellence on a global scale - individuals or groups, events, exhibitions, facilities, institutions, public spaces, research projects and studies and activities that have had a significant impact on the design industry in the last year.

EDP Brasil was once again honored as ethic in its relations between the public and private sectors. Ministério da Transparência, Fiscalização e Controladoria-Geral da União (CGU) announced the list of the 25 companies approved in the 2016 edition of Pró-Ética, and EDP Brasil was once again one of the award-winning companies. In 2016, there were a record number of registrations, with 195 participants of diverse sizes and lines of action. That number was 101% higher than the 2015 edition and has surpassed the last six years. In the coming years, the goal for EDP will be to reach the maximum score, that is, to review processes and implement new ideas, if necessary.

The EDP brand was the winner for the 2nd consecutive year of Consumer Choice Awards. A prize that reinforces its position with the Portuguese public. The consumers' choice awards are in its 5th edition and aim to reward and publicize the brands that have best fulfilled the requirements and attributes defined and valued by consumers and that have reached higher degrees of satisfaction. EDP won in the category "Energy and Services for Domestic Use", where 3,216 respondents gave it the best satisfaction rate. Ten energy brands were evaluated, the main objective being to know the level of satisfaction and acceptability generated by consumers.

Signs of Light is the best corporate advertising campaign in Europe. The "Signs of Light" campaign, which marked 40 years of EDP, was the winner of the Corporate Advertising category of the European Excellence Awards, awards that distinguish what is best done in the areas of public relations and communication.

Campaign "Signs of Light" Silver Achievement in Efficacy Awards. The "Sinais de Luz" campaign, launched in May to mark the company's 40th anniversary in Portugal, won Silver in the Institutional Communication category of the Efficacy Awards. The Communications Effectiveness Awards, an initiative of APAN - Associação Portuguesa de Anunciantes - and the Consultores Group, with the aim of promoting and recognizing excellence in communication, distinguishes the campaigns, agencies, creatives and advertisers that have stood out the most year.

The EDP´s Smart House solution was the winner of the Energy Retail Award, one of the awards of the European Utility Industry Awards (EUIA). The Energy Retail Award awards, at European level, the innovation within the energy retail, both for solutions directed to the direct relationship with customers and for new models of energy retail. The EDP's Smart House is the aggregator concept of four products within the scope of intelligent houses: solar energy, which allows each client to produce their own energy through solar panels; the batteries, which allow to store excess solar energy for later use; electric mobility, which offers an innovative and environmentally friendly way of traveling; and EDP re:dy, a solution that allows customers to connect and control their home using a single application, saving on comfort.

EDP Comercial received four distinctions from the Portuguese Contact Center Association. The Quality label was awarded to the Contact Center of Parque das Nações and Seia - through a system of permanent evaluation of the quality of the services provided and the management of the Contact Centers of Portuguese companies, using more than 150 controls. Quality Label by the "3C - Customer Contact Center" telemarketing operation and 2 Best Awards - assigned based on an audit performed each operation and through a predefined grid, where systems, human resources, incentives, operators, among others. EDP Comercial was also awarded with Contact and 3C partners, with Prata in 3C and Ouro's operation in Contact's operation, during the APCC Best Awards, presenting the best Outbound and Inbound services.

EDP Brasil wins National Quality Award. The National Quality Award (PNQ), which is held each year, recognizes companies that are a reference in management in Brazil, based on the Fundamentals and Criteria of Excellence, with concern for the impact on society and shareholders. The Distribution area of São Paulo was distinguished with a highlight in the Processos criterion, which distinguishes the best world-class companies in the development of management processes.

Site energia.edp.pt wins Navegantes XXI award. The Digital Economy Association once again selected the best projects in the area of Electronic Commerce and Digital Marketing, in another edition of the Navegantes XXI Awards. The site energia.edp.pt, of EDP Comercial, won in the category of the Best Site.pt. The "Best Site" category distinguishes the ".pt" domain, the main content of which is in Portuguese, which has been most prominent in good practices, legal requirements and internet security rules, and which has contributed unequivocally to promoting the .pt. the Portuguese language and boost the Digital Economy.
