Vincent Stanley
Director of Philosophy at Patagonia and Co-Author of “The Responsible Company”
Bio
Vincent Stanley has been with Patagonia since its inception in 1973 in crucial executive roles. He co-wrote “The Responsible Company” with Yvon Chouinard, founder and owner of Patagonia, drawing on their 40 years' experience at the company to articulate the elements of responsible business for our time.

More informally, Vincent is Patagonia’s chief storyteller. He helped develop the Footprint Chronicles, the company’s interactive website that outlines the social and environmental impact of its products; the Common Threads Partnership which promotes sustainability through the "reduce, repair, reuse, and recycle" approach; and Patagonia Books showcasing the brand's commitment to intellectual exploration and environmental activism. He serves as the company’s Director of Philosophy and is a visiting fellow at the Yale School of Management. He is also a poet whose work has appeared in Best American Poetry.
