We harness the sun's energy
Solar light is energy. It's something we've known for millennia, plants depend on the sun's radiation to grow and many cold-blooded animals, like reptiles, need the sun to get out of lethargy. But the sun also makes it possible to produce renewable electricity, with the assurance that it will be available as long as the star continues to shine.
Our installed solar capacity in 2022

Decentralised solar: an investment with future
We believe that the future increasingly involves the decentralisation of energy, allowing our customers to be part of the decarbonisation process, while finding the answer they need for their needs, at the best prices.
Decentralised Solar: an EDP strategy
2021 - 219 MWp of installed photovoltaic solar systems

Portugal: 183 MWp
of installed capacity generated savings of over 200 GWh and avoided the emission of ~32 kt of CO2
Spain: 46 MWp
of installed capacity generated savings of over 60 GWh and avoided the emission of ~7 kt of CO2
Brazil: 106 MWp
of installed capacity generated savings of about 36 GWh and avoided the emission of ~4.6 kt of CO2

A new way to generate energy
The river bed of a dam can also be used to generate energy. We believe that, choosing the Earth implies looking for innovative solutions: this is what we achieve with floating solar panels, as in Alqueva.
