
EDP opens applications for professional training program for people with disabilities
EDP is launching RiseAbility, an Iberian initiative designed to prepare and empower people with disabilities for the job market. The one-month program aims to strengthen skills, promote inclusion, and foster diversity in the workplace.
EDP opens applications for RiseAbility, an innovative program aimed at empowering people with visible or invisible disabilities by helping them overcome existing barriers to entering the job market. Applications are open from today, October 13, until the end of the month, and the program will run from November 10 to December 19. Applications can be submitted here.
With the launch of this initiative, EDP reinforces its commitment to creating a more inclusive workplace and promoting diversity.The program, which is mostly online to ensure full accessibility, is structured into six stages.
In the first stage, the focus will be on self-awareness, helping participants identify their strengths and define development goals. In the second stage, the aim is to develop key skills such as time management, productivity, and managing expectations in the workplace. In the third stage, participants will have the opportunity to shadow EDP professionals, gaining practical experience in a real work environment.
In the fourth stage, the focus will be on problem-solving, critical thinking, and task management, with personalized feedback. In the fifth and penultimate stage, participants will be encouraged to explore networking, develop their personal brand, and take advantage of mentoring opportunities.In the final stage, the focus will be on preparing participants for the job market through interview simulations, CV reviews, and effective job search strategies.

That’s why EDP continues to strengthen its commitment to ensuring equal opportunities, demonstrating its dedication to recruiting and developing people with disabilities.
For this program, EDP is partnering in Portugal with three organizations: the Portuguese Association for Diversity and Inclusion (APPDI), Valor T, and the Nova SBE Inclusive Community Forum.
