Benefits and well-being

Our people are at the heart of our purpose

Their well-being is a top priority for us

At EDP, nurturing a culture of well-being is central to our mission. In recent years, the importance of providing attractive benefits that prioritize the holistic well-being of our employees has grown as they seek a better work-life balance.

Rooted in our culture of active listening, we embrace a comprehensive approach to caring for our employees across all dimensions of well-being—physical, emotional, social, professional, and financial.

To address the diverse needs of our employees based on their location and life stage, we not only offer global benefits and perks but also provide localized solutions that comply with the legal requirements of each country where we operate.

Our ambition as a future-proof organisation is only achievable if we prioritize individual well-being within the company and ensure human and meaningful experiences for everyone.

That’s why EDP provides, among other services, health insurance for employees and their families, nutrition consultations and sports activities, having gyms in various facilities and promoting discussion moments around this dimension of well-being.

The power of work-life balance

We support our employees in balancing professional and personal life

In total, there are around 150 initiatives, developed internally and in partnership with other companies, to promote our employees work-life balance, which we - a certified familiarly responsible company - believe is fundamental to achieving a fairer society based on flexibility, respect, and equal opportunities.

The Mind Your Mind sessions helped to normalise the topic of mental health ("It's OK not to be OK") and raise awareness of the symptoms of mental illness.
EDP is committed to supporting employees' mental health and encourages the use of the psychosocial help services offered by the company's Social Services.
Through the excellent testimonies of the various participants, ways of dealing with stress, anxiety and depression were conveyed. More than ever it's necessary to address mental health and to be aware that we are not alone.
I'm very grateful to MYM sessions and hope it'll be resumed soon!
