It is the third largest wind energy production company in the world and almost 70% of its energy is produced from renewable resources. EDP provides electricity to almost 10 million customers.

Startup Community | EDP Starter
EDP Starter connects startups seeking business relationships (pilots, investments, etc) in a long term basis (1 to 3 years) with EDP Group, providing them with perks that can reach an estimated value of 300k€ (as co-working space, 3rd party service providers and corporate partners, pocket money, financed pilots). It involves yearly “Seed Race” competition – investment eligibility (~100k) for the fastest development startup and it has teams in Portugal, Spain and Brazil.
Scale Up Program | Free Electrons
EDP is a part of a Global Alliance of energy utilities with a program focused on business development and promotion of scale ups. It is becoming one of the most well known programs in the energy space. Find out more about Free Electrons.
Acceleration Program | Starter Acceleration Program
EDP Starter promotes a Global Startup call with local modules focused on engaging startups and EDP executives. In 2019, modules will occur in Latin America and Europe (supported by EDP) and USA (supported by AEP). A final event will premier the best startups of each local module. Prototype | EDP Fablab
Fablab is an innovation laboratory, which provides the EDP community with a set of industrial tools for rapid prototyping. This is a concept designed and thought out for the community, which provides the ideal environment for invention.
Investment | EDP Ventures
EDP Ventures is the venture capital arm of the EDP Group, focused on investments in early-stage startups that develop solutions/business models applicable to the field of energy. It aims to promote an open innovation strategy in the EDP Group.
