Barclays Global Investors UK Holdings Ltd (BGI UK Holdings Limited) notified EDP – Energias de Portugal, S.A. (EDP) of the following:

Barclays Group sold the Barclays Global Investors business held through BGI UK Holdings Limited, including Barclays Global Investors Ltd, Barclays Global Investors (Deutschland) AG, Barclays Global Investors NA and Barclays Global Fund Advisors to BlackRock, Inc.

Accordingly, holdings of the abovementioned entities are no longer attributable to BGI UK Holdings Limited or to any Barclays Group entity and responsibility for making relevant shareholding disclosures relating to holdings of Barclays Global Investors Ltd, Barclays Global Investors (Deutschland) AG, Barclays Global Investors NA and Barclays Global Fund Advisors and other entities in the Barclays Global Investors business now lies with BlackRock.

As such, BGI UK Holdings Limited no longer holds a qualified holding in EDP.

Subsequently, BlackRock, Inc. notified EDP that it indirectly holds, through BlackRock Investment Management (UK) Limited, 139,884,362 shares of EDP share capital, which corresponds to 3.86% of the respective voting rights.
