On the 2019 World's Most Ethical Companies list, the Etisphere Institute recognized 128 companies from 21 countries and EDP is one of six utility companies in the Energy & Utilities sector. 

The Ethisphere Institute recognizes companies that lead with integrity and demonstrate alignment of their management practices with the principles and ethical commitments assumed. Using its own model, the Ethisphere Institute assesses the maturity and performance of ethics and compliance management systems. 

For more than a decade, the EDP Group has built up a robust ethical "edifice" of which its Code of Ethics- applied universally within the company- is a fundamental piece.
