Resignation of Members of the General and Supervisory Board

EDP hereby informs that Mr. Vítor Domingos Seabra Franco and Mr. Vítal Martins Moreira have presented their resignation from the General and Supervisory Board.
In accordance with paragraph a) of article 3 and no. 1, paragraph a) of article 7 of CMVM Regulation no. 5/2008, EDP - Energias de Portugal, S.A. hereby informs that Mr. Vítor Domingos Seabra Franco and Mr. Vítal Martins Moreira have presented, by letters received by the Executive Board on March 5th, 2009 and March 6th, 2009, respectively, their resignation from the General and Supervisory Board.
